He made his filmmaking debut in '11 with Lefty Loosey Righty Tighty, which won Best Feature in the DIY film competition at Northside Festival, a trendsetter art festival in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
James was the conceiver of the theater benefit "SHINSAI: Theaters for Japan" which took place on March 11, 2012, the one-year anniversary of the disasters in Japan, with participation from nearly 100 theaters, internationally. He also collaborates frequently with Japanese artists, translating award winning contemporary Japanese plays and subtitling major Japanese studio films.

She was previously married to Naoki Hosaka.- Kenji Sahara was born Tadashi Ishihara on May 14, 1932 in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, Japan. He came in second in the "Mr. Ordinary Contest" in 1953 and his cinema debut was as an extra in two small roles in Godzilla (1954), one as a ship passenger and one as a journalist. However, his break-through in Toho Studios' sci-fi films came when he portrayed the male lead Shigeru in Rodan (1956), where he changed his name to "Kenji Sahara." He would go on to become a familiar face in Toho's sci-fi films, playing a wide variety of heroes and villains. Appearing in films from all three of the Godzilla series, "Showa, "Heisei," and "Millennium," Sahara has appeared in Godzilla films more than any other actor. is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Io Shirai who is currently signed to the WWE, performing on their developmental brand NXT, where she is a former NXT Women's Champion.
Making her debut in March 2007, Io spent several years working as a tag team wrestler, teaming with her older sister Mio, with whom she would wrestle for various promotions across Japan and Mexico, winning the TLW World Young Women's Tag Team Championship in the process. In June 2010, the Shirais came together with Kana to form the Triple Tails stable, which would last for fifteen months, before Io broke out of the group and started her singles career with the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion. In April 2013, she won the promotion's top title, the World of Stardom Championship, which she would hold for over fifteen months.
She is currently in her record sixth reign as one third of the Artist of Stardom Champions, while also being a former two-time World of Stardom Champion and a one-time Goddess of Stardom, Wonder of Stardom, High Speed and SWA World Champion. One goes to Atsugi to see the American war machine at work or see where one of Japan's leading pop singers was born. Born in Kanagawa just south of Tokyo in 1966, Koizumi Kyoko participated in and won the Staa Tanjo! ('A Star Is Born') television talent program in 1981 and subsequently released her first single in March of 1982. She shaved her hair at age 17 in 1984 in order to portray a different image than the other pop idols and defy her agent at Burning Production. She landed a number 1 hit in the Japanese charts in 1984 and quickly became a Japanese idol at age eighteen. She appeared on the annual New Year's Eve variety show Kohaku Uta Gassen in 1984. She ruled the Japanese charts for the next ten years. She introduced the JD Salinger novel Catcher In The Rye on the radio, which made the novel better-known in Japan. Ironically, she later admitted to having not read the book at the time. She also had her own radio show. She married character actor Nagase Masatoshi in 1995 and divorced in 2004. They had met at the magazine AnAn where she was a staff photographer. Kyoko shifted her focus to acting and was in films like Onmyoji in 2001, Tokyo Tower and the superlative Tenten both in 2007 and Tokyo Sonata in 2008 among others. She returned to the small screen to work with Kurosawa Kiyoshi of Tokyo Sonata on the Penance serial in 2012. She participated in the Yell From Nippon charity group to buy soccer balls for Eritrean children in 2006. She was romantically connected to Kazuya Kamenashi of the group KAT-TUN, who was half her age, in 2006. Koizumi and her two-decade long friends of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra performed a cover version of Makana Tayou ('Red Sun') by Misora Hibari in 2011. After participating in the "Toho Cinderella Contest" in 1989 with actress Yasuko Sawaguchi, she was cast as psychic girl Miki Saegusa in the Godzilla film Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989). Miki Sugimoto is almost inseparable from fellow 1970s Toei film star Reiko Ike. Both stared in numerous "sukeban" films throughout the 1970s and helped build a generation of "Toei porn".
A fashion model and star of "Go Go Girl in All Night Fuji" (a Japanese TV program), she made her film debut in "Hot Springs Mimizu Geisha" (Onsen mimizu geisha (1971)) and was later known for her film "Zero Woman - Red Handcuffs" (Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs (1974)), one of the most over-the-top Japanese crime films of the 1970s. Rina Hoshino is a bilingual Japanese-American actress, award-winning voiceover artist and singer. Born in Yokohama, Japan and having spent her adolescence in Seattle, Hoshino trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles.
In 2019, Hoshino voiced Mewtwo in Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019) which was a world-wide sensation and became one of the most successful Live-Action Film Adaptation of a Video Game. She also voiced Bunko in World War Z (2019) which sold a million copies in its 1st week of release. Hoshino was a Lead in the short film: And Then, which has won several film festivals globally including Short Shorts Film Festival, Seattle Asian American Film Festival, Toronto Ellensburg Film Festival and has been nominated to multiple Oscar-Qualifying festivals.- Hana Kimura was a Japanese professional wrestler who worked for World Wonder Ring Stardom and previously Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling.
She was accepted in to the Wrestle-1 dojo after she passed an audition that took place in December of 2015. At the same month she was announced as a round girl of the "Super Terrific Cuties" as HANA. On March 30, 2016 she made her professional wrestling debut losing to her classmate Reika Saiki. She spent the rest of the year wrestling in different promotions such as WAVE, Sendai Girls.
In July she started to compete in JWP she received her first championship shot for the JWP and Daily Sports Women's Tag Team Championship with Hanako Nakamori losing to Arisa Nakajima and Tsukasa Fujimoto. After that, she participated in the tournament for the vacated JWP Junior Championship and Princess of Pro Wrestling Championship where she defeated Yuina Onasaka in the first round and later Yako Fujigasaki to become the new champion winning her first and second professional wrestling championship on September 18.
Two days later she started to compete in Stardom where she joined her mother's Oedo Tai's unit where she teamed with her mother Kyoko Kimura and Kagetsu won the Artist Of Stardom Championship defeating Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo and Mayu Iwatani on October 10. On November 12 it was announced that Kimura will be joining her rookie mates to Pro Wrestling A.C.E, where she would later join the main roster. On December 28 she lost the JWP Junior and Princess of Pro Wrestling Championship to Yako Fujigasaki. On January 7 Hana, Kyoko and Kagetsu lost the Artist Of Stardom Championship to HZK, Io Shirai and Momo Watanabe. Sixteen days later she defeated her mother in her retirement match. On June 21 Kimura and Kagetsu defeated Hiroyo Matsumoto and Jungle Kyona to win the Goddess of Stardom Championship. On March 9, Kimura made her debut for American promotion Ring of Honor (ROH), when she was announced as part of a tournament to crown the inaugural Women of Honor Champion losing to Sumie Sakai in the first round. In March 2019 Kimura announced that she was leaving Wrestle-1.
On January 4, 2020, Kimura, along with Giulia wrestled Mayu Iwatani and Arisa Hoshiki in a dark match at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 14 in Tokyo Dome.

Akira Terao is the son of the famous actor Jukichi Uno. After graduating from Bunka Gakuin University, he formed a rock band "The Savage" which experienced brief success thanks to their hit 'Itsumademo, Itsumademo'. In 1967, Kei Kuma hired him to play alongside his father in his film 'Tunnel of Kurobe'. Terao then signed a contract with Ishihara Productions for which he appeared in several films. Akira Kurosawa chose him to play in two of his films, 'Ran' (1985) and mainly, as Kurosawa himself, in 'Dreams' (1990). On the other hand Terao continues to write and sing songs and his song 'Ruby no Yubiwa' was awarded the 'Record Taisho' prize for 1986.
